The Defence Science and Technology Alumni Association connects those who have worked in the science and technology domain within the Australian Department of Defence. Its purpose is to establish strong, enduring and mutually beneficial relationships among former Defence Science and Technology staff and between former DST staff and Defence.

Defence values a strong, enduring and mutually beneficial relationship between the organisation and its former employees. Accordingly, the Chief Defence Scientist sponsored the formal establishment of an alumni organisation comprising people who have worked in DST Group and its predecessor organisations. While the alumni is an entity separate from Defence, CDS fosters engagement with the alumni, including by way of hosting this web site on its behalf.

As the number of registered alumni grows, we will move to formally establish the alumni as an association and elect office bearers. In the meantime, however, much of the purpose of the alumni can be achieved through former staff registering on this site.
